Vic: Manslaughter charge for bouncer over nightclub death

MELBOURNE, Feb 23 AAP - An off-duty crowd controller who allegedly assaulted a man
near a Melbourne nightclub earlier this month has been charged with manslaughter after
the man died in hospital last week.

Natan Kaplan, 21, is in custody after surrendering to police over an alleged attack
on a 32-year-old man near the Mint Bar and Nightclub in suburban Brighton early on Friday,
February 13.

The injured man, from Brighton East, was taken to the Alfred hospital where he was
placed on life support.
