Leaders gather for Hussein funeral

Hundreds of world leaders and dignitaries converged on Jordan's capital today to attend the
funeral of a king universally beloved for his skills as a statesman and his compassion as a
human being.

King Hussein was to be laid to rest today in funeral rites both overwhelming in their scale
and haunting in their simplicity.

The 63-year-old monarch, who died yesterday, was immediately succeeded by his eldest son,
