Disciplinary committee to decide fate of Travelgate MPs.(News)

A special parliamentary disciplinary committee began its work on Friday to determine what action should be taken against MPs involved in the Travelgate fraud scandal.

Under the leadership of Deputy Speaker Gwen Mahlangu-Nkabinde, the National Assembly's Disciplinary Committee emphasised that it regarded its task as urgent and aimed to complete its work without delay.

Earlier this month, National Assembly speaker Baleka Mbete announced that all the relevant documents pertaining to the charges, plea bargains and court orders against a number of MPs regarding the abuse of travel vouchers, had been obtained.
