The charges - that two young South Side boys, possibly theyoungest people ever charged with murder in the United States, killed11-year-old Ryan Harris in a heinous crime more characteristic of ahorror movie than real life - force us again to grapple with thequestion of what to do with children who kill. Should we lock themaway from their families and society as punishment? Or do we shakeour heads in dismay, give them years of counseling and pray that suchabhorrent behavior is still an aberration in society?
